Crank Desk Telephone c. 1900-10
Bells ring when
cranked. Includes original cord and junction box. In
excellent condition with only some normal wear marks on the receiver
hook.
These antique
telephones are solid and very heavy.
This is a great
looking and fun crank with a beautiful old handset. The phone
rings when you turn the crank with that great old sound we've
all heard at in the old movies.

You CAN use this phone
as an extension as it does ring in, but of course without a
dialer you can not call out on it. It already comes with a
junction box attached.
In years gone by
the speaker would crank the magneto, the bell would ring both in
the unit and signal the operator. The operator would obtain the
number you wanted to connect to (Klondike 459) and
"plug" you in on her operators main switchboard.
